There are several road projects that might impact your travel to and from St. Joseph Church this summer. Drive Safe!
Whittaker Rd & Merritt Rd Intersection Improvements
The Whittaker Rd/Merritt Rd intersection will be redesigned and constructed to include a single-lane roundabout to enhance safety since this densely populated location has a history of crashes.
All traffic will be directed to the posted DETOUR route including Hitchingham, Textile, Tuttle Hill, Martz, and Bemis Roads. Local traffic to and from properties and businesses internal to the closed section of the intersection will be maintained.
The intersection will be closed for construction beginning Monday, June 20, 2016. The project is expected to be completed by mid-August 2016. Please be advised that due to weather conditions, all dates are tentative and subject to change.
Huron/Whittaker resurfacing between I-94 and Stoney Creek begins June 10th in Ypsilanti Twp
Starting Friday (June 10) and continuing on Saturday (June 11), Washtenaw County Road Commission will begin milling Huron/Whittaker from I-94 south to the Stony Creek Road roundabout.
If weather is permitting, paving the first course will begin on Monday and Tuesday (June 13/14).

Advisory: Willis Road Project
Beginning on June 20th, a half-mile stretch of Willis Road will be pulverized, widened and repaved to add a turn lane by multiple driveways to Lincoln Consolidated Schools on the north side of the road and two driveways to the Bellemeade subdivision on the south side the road. A culvert just west of Railsplitter Drive also will be replaced.
